A manhole cover in Kawasaki City featuring Kawasaki-shuku (川崎宿) in the 1830s as depicted by famous Ukiyo-e artist Utagawa Hiroshige in the series “The Fifty-Three Stations of the Tokaido”.
Kawasaki-shuku was the second of the fifty-three stations of the Tokaido, the road that linked Edo (present-day Tokyo) and Kyoto.
