An old school for the children of the samurai in Iwatsuki, Saitama

Iwatsuki-han Senkyokan was a private school opened in 1799 in Iwatsuki and later became a school for the children of the samurai of Iwatsuki domain. In 1939 it was designated as a historic site of Saitama Prefecture. It is the only surviving school building of this kind in Saitama Prefecture.
